Mark Rothko Likes His Steak Rare! // Signed Print
Macho painter Mark Rothko first became famous for his paintings, but in later life gained a reputation for storming New York restaurants and demanding to be served extremely rare steak.
This is a 30 x 40cm signed print on heavyweight paper. It is a standard size which makes it easy to find a frame to fit. (My personal favourite is Nielsen’s Alpha Matt Black frame. I don’t even work on commission). Now there is no excuse for not getting that print hanging up on your kitchen wall ASAP.
I make my prints with Giclee UK, who are a great Edinburgh-based digital and giclee printing company. Prints are signed and packaged in cellophane with a cardboard backing to keep them protected in the post and flat for framing. They are then sent in recyclable cardboard mailers.
There is an original screenprint on display at the excellent The Palmerston restaurant in Edinburgh.
